It looks like one of She-Hulk’s most formidable foes will be making her MCU debut in the upcoming Disney+ series. According to The Illuminerdi, Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) has joined the cast of She-Hulk and will play Titania.
The outlet said that the MCU’s take on the character has been described as a social media influencer with a “dark side.” No details were given on how big her role will be or if she’s even the main villain.
In the comics, Titania was a woman from Colorado named Mary MacPherran. She gained her powers of super-human strength, stamina, and durability from Doctor Doom during the first Secret Wars event. However, with no Doom in the MCU yet, this version of the character will undoubtedly have a different origin.
Described as a “half-hour legal comedy”, She-Hulk is currently filming in Atlanta. It will star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk), Ginger Gonzaga as her best friend, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky (aka The Abomination). It will also include an appearance by the Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo.
Look for She-Hulk to hit the Disney streaming service sometime in 2022.
