Sony drops second Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer

By Stephen Ippolito | August 2nd, 2021

Earlier this morning, Sony Pictures released the the second trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Unlike the first trailer, which was met with mixed reviews, this one contained a lot more action shots of Woody Harrelson’s Carnage.

In the two and a half minute video, we find out how Cletus Kasady acquiries a symbiote to become the villainous Carnage. Once he acquires his powers, it looks like he goes on a pretty brutal killing spree.

We were also shown some new shots of Naomie Harris’ Shriek. In the comics, she became well known for working with Kasady in 1993’s Maximum Carnage. The two have also had an on and off again relationship over the years.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis. Like the first film, it will be rated PG-13.

Despite rising concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film is still on track to be released exclusively in theaters on September 24, 2021.

  1. I’m sorta happy that it’s only rated PG-13 (because I wouldn’t check it out if it was rated R) but the film look like it could be really good or really bad. I just hope it’s good. What do you think of the original Venom film? I haven’t seen it but I want to check it out.
