On Monday night, Comic Book.com’s Brandon Davis hosted another Quarantine Watch Party, this time showing Avengers: Endgame. Joining the party was directors Joseph Russo and Anthony Russo.
One of the memorable moments of the night was when the Russo Brothers released behind the scenes footage of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans’ final days on the set. In the emotional footage, you can see the entire cast and crew giving the actors a standing ovation after their scenes had wrapped. This was followed by a round of hugs, which included Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige being the first to hug it out with Downey Jr.
It is widely known that this was the final time that these actors would be playing their iconic roles. Downey Jr.’s was probably more emotional because he had been playing his legendary Tony Stark role since the birth of the MCU (2008’s Iron Man). It was quite a thing to see these actors during their final moments on the set.
