Over the last six months, there have been rumors that certain actors would reprise their roles from Netflix’s Marvel shows in upcoming MCU projects. In January it was reported that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil would appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Around that same time, there were rumblings that Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones would appear in the She-Hulk series. Now a new report says that another fan-favorite character will also be making his MCU debut soon.
According to moderators on the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers Reddit page, Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the Hawkeye series. They also said that Cox was also set to appear but had to back out because of scheduling issues.
While moderators on a Reddit page aren’t usually the most reliable of sources, it was interesting to see that shortly after the news broke, D’Onofrio’s Twitter account “liked” a tweet that had a post about the story.
To make matters even more interesting, in a tweet that has since been deleted, ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis reported that D’Onofrio will make even more appearances as the Kingpin after Hawkeye. He didn’t say specifically what, but the obvious choices seem to be She-Hulk, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the Echo series.
Marvel Studios has yet to confirm any of these reports. However, at this point, it seems all but inevitable that Marvel’s Netflix characters are coming to the MCU.
While no release date has been announced, it’s been reported recently that Hawkeye will premiere on Disney+ in November.
