On Thursday, news broke that a Disney+ spinoff show centered around Agatha Harkness is in the works at Marvel Studios. Now a new report has revealed that two additional shows are being developed.
According to Daniel Richtman, Marvel is developing shows for Disney+ based on Monica Rambeau and the Ten Rings organization.
With the way Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ended, a show centered around the Ten Rings makes a lot of sense. In the post-credit scene, it’s revealed that Shang-Chi’s sister Xialing (played by Meng’er Zhang) had taken over the terrorist organization that her father started. So I would imagine the series would focus on how she would run the group.
As for the Rambeau series, the character first appeared as a young girl during 2019’s Captain Marvel. She next appeared as an adult (played by Teyonah Parris) in WandaVision, which was released earlier this year. It was here that Monica gained her powers after she passed through a force field that Wanda created. She’ll next be seen in the upcoming film The Marvels, which is set to be released in November 2022. I’d imagine her own Disney+ series would take place after this.
While Richtman has been accurate in the past, he’s still not as reliable as the traditional Hollywood trades (Deadline, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter). So don’t be surprised if none of this turns out to be true. If it is accurate, its possible that both projects could be announced on Marvel Studios’ Disney+ special in November.
