A new rumor has recently surfaced online, suggesting we might be getting another clue soon that Namor is coming to the MCU. According to MCU Cosmic, the sinking of Atlantis will be shown in the upcoming Eternals film.
The second entry in Phase 4 is expected to take place over a span of 35,000 years. So it would make sense if one of those places visited is Atlantis and how it sank into the Ocean. One will wonder if this will lead to an after-credits scene, further confirming the arrival of the Atlanteans.
This would not be the first time that an alleged easter egg suggested the coming of the Sub Marnier. In Iron Man 2, a global map showing different locations had one of its spots in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This was also the same map that gave the MCU it’s first Blank Panther hint when it showed Wakanda. More recently in Avengers: Endgame Okoye said that Wakanda’s scanners had picked up an earthquake at the bottom of the Ocean, leaving fans wondering if this was a sign for things to come.
Since Black Panther, fans have been dreaming that the sequel will see a showdown between the Black Panther and Namor. In the comics, the two and their countries have clashed on numerous occasions. Both sides are technologically advanced, so it has always been even battles.
Like anytime I post a rumor, I always caution that it is just that a “rumor.” MCU Cosmic is a very reliable and connected site. Still, I’ve been following these types of stories long enough to know that it may not end up being true.
