Earlier this morning, Variety reported that the upcoming Marvel Studios produced series Ms. Marvel has finished production. Expected to hit Disney+ in late 2021, the six-episode series stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan (AKA Ms. Marvel).
Filming for Ms. Marvel began all the way back in November in Atlanta Georgia. Lately, the series had been shooting overseas in Thailand. According to Variety, filming being done here was being directed by Obaid-Chinoy and will take place during episodes four and five.
Earlier this month, leaked set photos gave us our first look at Vellani in her full Ms. Marvel costume. The look was met with high praise from fans online as it was very similar to her traditional comic-book appearance of Red, Blue, and Yellow.
Along with Vellani, the series will star Aramis Knight as Kareem/Red Dagger, Saagar Shaikh as Amir Khan, Rish Shah as Kamran, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, and Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer.
Following her debut in the series, Vellani will next be seen as Kamala Khan in the film The Marvels. Slated to hit theaters in November 2022, the Phase 4 film will star Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.
