MCU fans are really excited about Marvel Studios’ next series Moon Knight. According to The Hollywood Reporter, after being released during halftime of the NFC Wild Card Game on Monday night, the trailer racked up over 75 million views in its first 24 hours. According to the outlet, 23 million of those views came from the broadcast, while the rest (52 million) came from online platforms.
Overall, the total (75 million) was higher than trailers for Loki (60 million), WandaVision (52 million), and Hawkeye (41.5 million). It was only bested by the Falcon and the Winter Soldier (125 million), which had the advantage of airing during last year’s Super Bowl.
Moon Knight will star Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector/Steven Grant, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. Directed by Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead, the six episode series will debut on Disney+ on March 30th.
You can read the show’s official synopsis below:
“The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”
