It looks like another Marvel Studios project is on the verge of beginning filming. Yesterday stars of the upcoming Moon Knight series, Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke were seen walking around together in Budapest. One lucky fan was able to take a selfie with them and post it on his Instagram account.
Back in March, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that filming for the Disney+ series was “weeks” away. With its two stars now in the Hungarian city, it looks like we’re now days away.
In the series, Isaac will play Marc Spector (aka Moon Knight), while Hawke will play the villain whose yet to be announced. The only other person that’s been cast is May Calamawy. It’s not known who she’s playing, but fans are speculating that it’s Marlene Alraune. Someone whose known to aid Moon Knight.
To get ready for the role, Isaac has recently been working on fighting techniques. Last month, his production company posted on social media the actor performing some insane stunt sequences. Yesterday, another video was posted of him working on some more brutal fight sequences.
Moon Knight is expected to hit the Disney streaming service sometime in 2022. The series is slated to be six-episode long. It will be directed by Mohamed Dia (also serves as showrunner), Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead.
