When the first trailer for Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series was released last week, most of the talk online amongst fans was how unimpressed they were with the CGI. Many complained specifically about the title hero (played by Tatiana Maslany) and how her appearance looked unfinished. It was even compared to Pip the Troll’s poorly received look in Eternals’ mid-credit scene. With three months still until its release (August 17), there was some hope that the studio would improve it between now and then. Well it looks they’ve already done just that.
On Wednesday, The Direct was one of the first to point out that an updated version of the trailer on Disney+ already showed improvements in the graphics.
As you can see in the side-by-side pictures, it’s definitely an overall improvement. It’s still not perfect, but at least it’s good to see that the studio recognizes the criticisms and is already working to make it better. Hopefully by the time the show rows around in August, the effects will be so much better that people will have forgotten all about the first trailer.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will consist of nine 30-minute episodes. Along with Maslany, the series will star Ginger Gonzaga as Walters’ best friend, Renée Elise Goldsberry as Amelia, Jameela Jamil as Titania, Josh Segarra, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky (AKA The Abomination). Kat Coiro and Anu Valia served as directors, while Jessica Gao served as head writer.
