It’s finally here! After months of waiting, Marvel Studios finally released the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. Technically a teaser trailer, the 90 second video shows us what to expected in the God of Thunder’s next adventure.
As you can see, the Guardians of the Galaxy, particularly Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, will have a heavy presence in the Phase Four film. While there was no sign of Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, we did get our first official look at Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor. At the very end, she is seen catching a fully restored Mjölnir. Another noteworthy shot includes a look at presumably Russell Crowe’s Zeus.
In addition, the studio also released a new synopsis for the film and the first official poster.
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced — a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who — to Thor’s surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.Marvel.com
