Well, if you thought Marvel Studios was done announcing new shows for Disney+, think again. Earlier this morning, the studio announced a new show called Marvel Studios: Legends will premiere on the streaming service on January 8th.
Unlike the rest of their lineup, the series sounds like it will be more of a recap/documentary type programming. In its official release, it says, “Marvel Studios: Legends is a new series that revisits some of the most iconic moments from the MCU, one character at a time.”
The first episodes will be about Vision (Paul Bettany) and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), which makes sense since WandaVision premieres the following week. The studio did not say how often new episodes will come out.
For those that are disappointed that this is a recap/documentary series, don’t be. Marvel has enough coming out over the next two years. Between theaters and Disney+, 21 new MCU scripted projects are slated to be released over the next two years. I would say that’s more than enough to fulfill your MCU needs.
