In an exclusive first look with Entertainment Weekly, it has been revealed that the Hawkeye series will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 24th. The outlet also released a photo of the highly anticipated show that will star Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye/Clint Barton) and Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop).
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Renner talked about how Barton will get along with Steinfeld’s Bishop.
“[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she’s a big Hawkeye fan,” Renner tells Entertainment Weekly. “She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life.”
With a release date and photo now out, I’d imagine we’re only weeks, possibly days, away from a trailer being released.
Along with Renner and Steinfeld, Hawkeye will star Alaqua Cox as Echo, Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mom, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, and Fra Fee as The Clown. Florence Pugh will also reprise her Black Widow role Yelena Belova.
Last week, a bombshell report broke that Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin would appear in the series. The actor of course played the popular Marvel villain in Netflix’s Daredevil series.
One thing that is still unknown is if Marvel Studios’ other live action series slated to come out this year, Ms. Marvel, will be released before Hawkeye. It’s always been assumed that it would, but with still no announcement yet, speculation that its been pushed back will now start to heat up.
