Loki Director reveals that Chris Hemsworth provided the voice of Throg in the latest episode

This past week’s episode of Loki was like a treasure trove of easter eggs. One of those was a very brief appearance of Throg, who in the comics is basically a frog version of Thor.

In a new interview with For All Nerds podcast, series director Kate Herron revealed that the one and only Chris Hemsworth actually voiced him.

Now Throg didn’t have any dialogue in his appearance. However, he did make a grunting sound as he was trying to escape a jar that he was stuck in and get Mjolnir. Apparently, that grunting sound was recorded by Hemsworth.

While I think it’s unlikely that we will see Throg in the final episode of Loki this year, it could be possible that he returns in the second season. Perhaps maybe Hemsworth will actually get to say something this time as the thunder god frog.
