Kevin Feige says Kathryn Hahn will return to the MCU as Agatha Harkness “someday soon”

One of the highlights of Marvel Studios’ first series for Disney+, WandaVision, was the supporting characters. This included Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn), who turned out to be the villain in one of the show’s biggest twists.

With Harkness surviving at the end of the series (she’s basically imprisoned by Wanda in Westview), it was assumed that we had not seen the last of her in the MCU.

Well, during a lengthy interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that Agatha will return at some point.

“Someday. Someday soon,” Feige said when asked when we’ll next see Hahn as Harkness. “You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way.”

The most obvious choice for where she might show up next is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Since that’s when we will next see Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen), it wouldn’t be that surprising if Harkness made an appearance.

During the same interview, Feige also talked about how the studio chose Hahn for the role.

“We were all fans of [Kathryn Hahn] at Marvel Studios. And she had come in for a general meeting coincidentally right around the time we were trying to cast Agnes-slash-Agatha. It was one of those, ‘Why didn’t we think of this before?’ Louis D’Esposito [co-president of Marvel Studios] actually sat down and had a general [meeting] with her. And it very quickly went from that: She’s great. What could she do for us someday? Anyway, who’s going to play Agatha? We really have to cast this part. Wait a second… It was honestly almost exactly like that.”

So, where do you think Agatha will show up next?

  1. Multiuniverse of Madness would be the obvious choice and I think she would fit in the story but another really cool option would be if she was part of a supervillain team up with General Ross, US Agent, Abomination, and maybe some other forgotten MCU villain’s.
