One of the breakout characters for Marvel Studios’ first Disney+ series WandaVision was Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. The “nosy neighbor” turned out to be the real villain of the series, as it was revealed at the end of Episode 7 that she was a witch that was behind everything all along.
In the series finale after her defeat, Agatha was trapped in her own mind by Wanda. She was then forced to live powerless in Westview as “Agnes.”
In a recent interview with the New York Times, Hahn was asked what’s next for Harkness in the MCU.
“I have no idea. They keep it really tight,” she tells the site. “Oh me too. I want to [have an another opportunity.] Now that I have a taste of it, I’m like ‘Ahh.’ I really, really love it.”
Something tells me that Hahn will get her wish and reprise the role in future MCU projects. Right before Wanda wiped her mind, she warned her of an incoming threat and that she will “need her help.”
Many have speculated that what Harkness was referring to is the events that will occur in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It’s already known that WandaVision connects to the Doctor Strange sequel. Some even thought that the film’s villain (Possibly Nightmare, Mephisto) would appear in the post-credits scene but didn’t. Perhaps to counter this threat, Wanda and the Sorcerer Supreme will turn to Harkness for help in the film.
Even if she doesn’t appear, I doubt WandaVision will be the last time Hahn portrays the role.
