It appears that Marvel Studios’ upcoming series Hawkeye has wrapped production. The news was broken by Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner when he made the announcement on his Instagram account.
Now, this doesn’t mean that the Disney+ series is 100% done. There could still be reshoots, or it could actually just mean that Renner is done filming.
Production for Hawkeye began in November in New York City. Along with Renner, the series will star Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. A young girl that Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) takes under his wing to train as the next “Hawkeye”. It will also star Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mom, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez (aka Echo), Fra Fee as The Clown, and Florence Pugh who will reprise her Black Widow role Yelena Belova.
Originally, Renner’s Hawkeye was supposed to be a standalone film. But after Disney+ entered the picture, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had it redeveloped into a series.
Look for Hawkeye to hit the Disney streaming service sometime in late 2021.
