With production set to begin within a couple of months, the cast of Marvel Studios’ Ironheart series continues to grow. According to The Wrap, the Disney+ series has added Harper Anthony in an undisclosed role.
The 9-year-old actor now joins a cast that includes Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams (AKA Ironheart), Anthony Ramos, and Lyric Ross, who will play Williams’ best friend. While Ramos’ character is unknown, it has been reported that he will be the villain and that he’s expected to appear in other future MCU projects.
As for Harper, Ironheart will be the most prominent project he’ll have appeared in during his young career. Some of his other credits include NBC’s Chicago Med and a film/TV series called Vulture City.
Chinaka Hodge will serve as head writer for the series. Last week it was revealed that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is also expected to be involved. Given that Thorne makes her MCU debut as Williams in Wakanda Forever this November, the news made sense.
With filming for Ironheart slated to begin in June, look for it to arrive on the Disney streaming service sometime in 2023.
