Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk series has added another member to its cast. Deadline reports that actress Renée Elise Goldsberry has joined the Disney+ series.
According to the outlet, she will play a character named Amelia. Because of the name, some online have already started to spatulate that she could be playing Amelia Voght. In the comics, she’s a mutant who has the power to turn her body into mist. Over the years, she’s had several run-ins with She-Hulk.
Shooting for She-Hulk was supposed to begin in March, but for unknown reasons, it did not begin. The show is expected to hit the Disney streaming service sometime in 2022. In January, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige described it as being a “half-hour legal comedy”.
Joining Goldsberry in the series will be Tatiana Maslany (Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk), Ginger Gonzaga, Tim Roth (Abomination), and Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk). Kat Coiro and Anu Valia will serve as directors.
