Last night, Marvel Studios held the world premiere for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Following the first official screening, a select group of critics/media members who attend the showing, were able to post their reactions to it online. As you can imagine, they were very positive.
Common themes I’ve seen in the reviews include how weird and scary it was. One person even described it as the “grossest Marvel movie yet”.
Much praise was also given to director Sam Raimi, whose known for his horror background and helming the original Spider-Man trilogy. After watching the sequel, one media member declared that Raimi has brought “GLORIOUS horror to the MCU.”
While I do think the movie is going to be great, it’s best to remember that the people that are invited to these events were guests of Marvel Studios and Disney. So they are probably obligated to give it a good first reaction.
You can catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters this Friday.
