Last night, the world premiere for Spider-Man: No Way Home was held in Los Angeles. After the film’s screening, those who were lucky enough to attend, were allowed to post their first reactions online. By the sounds of it, it appears that the film is living up to the hype.
So far, I’ve seen multiple people call it not just the best MCU Spider-Man movie but also the “best live action” one of all time. Dubbed “Spider-Man: Endgame” by director Jon Watts, it also sounds like it was a very emotional ride. According to the The Hollywood Reporter’s Aaron Couch, the crowd’s reaction to it was the loudest he’s heard since Avengers: Endgame.
Overnight, critics who were also in attendance were allowed to post their reviews online. Through 46 reviews, the film holds a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Obviously I don’t expect it to stay perfect as more come in. But, at the very least it doesn’t look like will have another Eternals scenario on our hands.
Spider-Man: No Way Home officially swings into theaters this Friday.
