Final Morbius trailer features more of Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes

By Stephen Ippolito | February 28th

This morning, Sony Pictures released the final trailer for their Morbius film. Starring Jared Leto as Dr. Michael Morbius, the movie is slated to hit theaters on April 1st.

As you can see, the trailer contains more shots of Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes, who looks like he’s trying to unleash the monstrous side of Leto’s Mobius. It’s more than likely that he wants to use the Living Vampire to help him escape the prison that’s he’s being held in. While we know that the film takes place in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, it’s still not clear if this is the same Toomes from Spider-Man: Homecoming or another variant.

Another actor that we see more of is Matt Smith (The Crown, Doctor Who). Originally it was thought that he would be playing the role of Loxias Crown (AKA Hunger), a known villain in the comics. However, it has since been revealed that his character’s name is actually Milo. Judging from his brief scene, it sounds like he will still be a baddie.

Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius was originally slated to come out nearly two years ago in July 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the studio has delayed it six times.
