Fandango says Spider-Man: No Way Home recorded the biggest first 24-hours in presales since Avengers: Endgame

By Stephen Ippolito | November 30th, 2021

Yesterday tickets for the highly anticipated film Spider-Man: No Way Home finally went on sale. The tickets were so in-demand that they crashed multiple websites selling them. According to ticketing company Fandango, it was by far the biggest presale of 2021.

In a Tweet sent out earlier today, Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis announced that the film recorded the company’s biggest first day of presales since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Even more impressive, he said it only took two hours for it to break the 2021 record that was held by Black Widow. It also outsold pre-pandemic films Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and the previous two MCU Spider-Man films.

The record for the biggest domestic opening weekend at the box office is of course Endgame ($357M). While No Way Home is unlikely to top that, it is still expected to bring in well north of $100M.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is slated to hit theaters on December 17th.
