About a month ago, production for the upcoming Falcon and Winter Soldier series resumed filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Now according to a new report, the upcoming Disney+ series has moved production to the place it was shooting when it was shut down in March, Prague.
The report comes to us by Fandíme Filmu Facebook page, who says shooting has begun and will continue until October 23rd. Initially, it was thought that only nine days of shooting were needed in the Czech Republic city. But whether it’s because of script changes or the extra COVID-19 cleaning requirements, more time was required.
Originally the series was going to be the first Marvel Studios produced show to hit the companies streaming service. However, since WandaVision was further along in filming when production resumed, Disney decided to release it first (December 2020). As a result, the Falcon and Winter Soldier will come out sometime in early 2021.
The big-budgeted series will see Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) reprise their big-screen roles from the MCU. It will also star Daniel Brühl (Baron Helmut Zemo), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), and Georges St-Pierre (Georges Batroc).
