Things I Missed:

  1. Don Cheadle will return to play War Marchine in a Disney+ series called Amor Wars.

2. A Secret Wars series is in the works. It will star Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull Talos.

3. Actress Dominique Thorne will play Dominique Thorne in the Disney+ series Ironheart.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announces that they will not recast Black Panther after Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death.

Feige announces that Christian Bale will play Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder!

Ant-Man 3 will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang the Conquer has been confirmed to appear. He will be played by Jonathan Majors. Kathryn Newton will play Cassie Lang, who replaces Emma Fuhrmann.

The Fantastic Four are coming to the MCU! It will be directed by Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts.

Disney+ Star feature will allow mature content to be accessed in *international* markets. You have to log in with a password. This means that Marvel films like Deadpool and Logan will be on Disney+ overseas. Hopefully this will eventually make it’s way to the U.S.

Disney says that it will release 10 Marvel Studios produced shows on Disney+ over the next few years. That’s 2 more than what’s been reported. Could one of them be the Nick Fury series?

Disney CEO Bob Chapek says he promises that this event will include announcements for both future MCU films and Disney+ shows. Also says that Disney+ now has 86.8M subscribers.

The event has begun with Disney CEO Bob Chapek coming out for introductions.

Beginning at 4:30pm ET today, I’ll be posting live updates right here on any MCU news that breaks during Disney’s Investor Day presentation. The event is expected to be 4 hours long. So we might have to wait a little bit until we get to Marvel Studio’s time during the presentation. You never know though, they could announce something big right off the bat.
