In August, during the Walt Disney Company’s third-quarter earnings call, CEO Bob Chapek said the company would be holding an Investor Day in the fall. In the past, Disney has used these events to announce and showcase upcoming projects by Marvel Studios. It had been reported that the event was going to be held on October 7th, but that turned out to be inaccurate. Now according to the company itself, the event will be held on December 10th.
If you’re an MCU fan, this will be a big day for you. Since the event will be focused on their streaming services, expect to hear news on shows like WandaVision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye.
As for what exactly will be shown or announced, my hope is that we will get trailers for Falcon and Winter Soldier and Loki. By then, production for these specific shows will be done or near it. So footage should be ready to be shown. If we’re lucky, we might even get a premiere date as well.
Another thing that could possibly happen is the official announcement of major castings. Over the last month, it’s been reported that Marvel Studios has cast leads in shows for She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. Perhaps Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who I’m assuming will be involved, will use this time to officially welcome them to the MCU. If we are fortunate, maybe they will even announce a casting that hasn’t even been reported, like for Moon Knight.
