It was reported a couple of months ago that Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion would begin filming in Europe this fall. Now according to one of the show’s stars, shooting might actually begin even earlier.
Christopher McDonald, who was cast in May in an undisclosed role, recently did an interview with The Movie Dweeb and revealed that filming will begin in about a “month and a half.”
If McDonald’s comments are accurate than cameras will now start rolling on the Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn led series in late August.
Later on in the interview, McDonald revealed that he knows he will be shooting scenes with Jackson’s Nick Fury. He also talked about how he hopes to be able to work with other big-name stars that have been cast.
“I know I’ll be doing a lot of stuff with Samuel. I would love to work with Olivia Coleman. Of course, Ms. Clarke would be amazing. Sam’s going to be amazing.”
Along with McDonald, Jackson, and Mendelsohn, Secret Invasion will star Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Killian Scott. While plot details of the series are still under wraps, we know that it will be based on the popular event from the comics of the same name.
Look for Secret Invasion to hit the Disney streaming service sometime in 2022.
