It looks like the God of Thunder is about to kick off filming. On his Instagram account, Chris Hemsworth revealed that Thor: Love and Thunder will begin production in Australia this week.
The fourth entry in the Thor franchise is shaping up to be its biggest one yet. Because of its large ensemble cast, the studio reportedly thinks it will have an “Avengers 5 feel”.
Joining Hemsworth’s Thor will be Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Sif (Jaimie Alexander), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and other members of the Guardians. They will all be going up against Gorr The God Butcher who will be played by Christian Bale.
I guarantee that more castings will be announced or leaked in the coming months. One that I think is still a possibility is Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. While the God Of Mischief was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, he’s still set to appear in his own series on Disney+ this May. Could it be possible that by the end of the season, it’s revealed that he somehow makes his way back to Thor? Will just have to wait and see.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be written and directed by Taika Waititi. Look for it to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
