Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will resume filming next week with Letitia Wright; release date will not be affected by delays

After being shut down in November to allow one of its stars more time to heal from an injury, production for the highly anticipated film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is finally set to resume. On Friday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the sequel will restart filming next week in Atlanta with Letitia Wright. The actress who plays Shuri suffered a shoulder fracture and a concussion during shooting in August.

According to the outlet, production was actually supposed to resume this past Monday. However, after “several cast and crew,” including Wright, tested positive for COVID, it was pushed back.

Werewolf by Night Halloween special adds The Nevers star Laura Donnelly to the cast

On Tuesday, Deadline reported that actress Laura Donnelly joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ upcoming Halloween special for Disney+. The special is expected to revolve around the character Werewolf by Night, who will be played by Gael Garcia Bernal.

While the outlet couldn’t confirm who she would be playing, they did speculate that it could be Nina Price (AKA Vampire by Night). In the comics, Price is a vampire/werewolf hybrid. She is also the niece of Jack Russell, who was the first Werewolf by Night.

Tessa Thompson says Valkyrie will have new powers in Thor: Love and Thunder

In the upcoming movie Thor: Love and Thunder, Tessa Thompson is set to make her third MCU appearance as Valkyrie. If you saw Avengers: Endgame, you’ll know that she will have new responsibilities as she is now the ruler of New Asgard. Well, according to Thompson, her responsibilities are not the only thing new she’ll have.

During an interview this week with W Magazine, the actress revealed that Valkyrie will have new powers in the Phase Four film.

“She has weird skills, to be honest. She can sense when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is essentially the afterlife. She can revive people. But when she revives people, sometimes she ends up in their body. It’s a weird thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is essentially God.”
