Captain America 4 is officially in the works; Falcon and the Winter Soldier showrunner to write script

It seems we’ve got our answer on if there will be a second season of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a fourth Captain America film is in the works. The outlet also reports that showrunner Malcolm Spellman will pen the script with Dalan Musson.

If you saw last night’s finale of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, then your know that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson finally takes up the Captain America mantle. It’s expected that this film will continue Wilson’s story in that role. This more than likely means that we will not be getting a second season of the Disney+ series.

In January, shockwaves were sent across social media when it was reported that Chris Evans would be returning to the MCU in a future film. According to Deadline, this is not the film that Evans will be returning for.

Obviously, a lot of questions still remain about the so-called Captain America 4. Like who will direct it? Will Bucky, Shannon Carter, John Walker, or Zemo be in it? Hopefully, we will find out relatively soon.
