Set photos for Marvel Studios’ upcoming series Secret Invasion, currently filming in the UK, have been making their way online. In them, we are given looks at Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Ben Mendelsohn (Talos), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), and Emilia Clark, whose character still remains unknown.
As you can see, Jackson’s Fury is rocking a beard that was teased on Disney+ Day in November. If you look closely, you can actually see that he’s standing next to his Captain Marvel co-star Mendelsohn.
Outside of one where’s she standing with Smulders, Clark’s photos don’t give us any indication of whose she’s playing as most seem to be her walking by herself in casual clothes. Since the Game of Thrones alum’s casting was revealed last spring, there have been rumors ranging from her playing a “a spy with powers” to her playing a Skrull.
Based on the popular event from the comics, Secret Invasion has one of the most impressive casts for an MCU Disney+ series. Alongside Jackson, Mendelsohn, Smulders, and Clark, the show will star Oscar winner Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald, Killian Scott, and Kingsley Ben-Adir as the villain.
It was thought that the series would get a late 2022 release on the Disney streaming service. However, this week it was reported that it may arrive in 2023 instead.
