Last night, the world premiere for Marvel Studios’ latest film Eternals was held in Los Angeles. After its screening, the first wave of reactions started to come in online and as you can imagine they were mostly positive.
Just about everyone that posted gave praise to Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao, who directed the film. Aaron Couch of The Hollywood Reporter, described it as the “most different” of any MCU film. The most interesting take came from Scott Menzel, who called it “Marvel’s version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Depending on who you ask, that could be a good or bad thing.
Eternals is slated to hit theaters on November 5th. At 2 hours and 37 minutes, the movie is the second longest film in the MCU (Avengers: Endgame: 3 hours and 2 minutes).
